Concludes Successfully at CV Raman Global University
The 3rd 50-Balls Cricket Youth National Championship 2025 was recently held at the prestigious CV Raman Global University Campus and its International Cricket Ground, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. This high-energy championship brought together top-performing youth teams from across India, showcasing emerging talent in the fast-growing and dynamic 50-Ball cricket format.
The event was organized by the Orissa 50-Ball Cricket Association, under the able leadership of Mr. Alok Choudhury, who served as the Organizing Secretary. Mr. Choudhury is also the General Secretary of the Orissa State 50-Ball Cricket Association.
The championship was conducted under the aegis of the Amateur 50-Ball Cricket Federation of India. The tournament witnessed the esteemed presence of Mr. Ishaan Jain, Founder and General Secretary of the national federation, who praised the excellent organization and the high standard of the competition. He congratulated the Odisha team and committee for successfully hosting such a prestigious national-level event.
The championship title was clinched by the outstanding team from the Bihar 50-Ball Cricket Association, who emerged as Champions of the 3rd edition of the tournament with disciplined and powerful performances.
The Runner-Up position was secured by the host team, the Orissa 50-Ball Cricket Association, who also played commendably and contributed to the success of the event with their spirited effort.
Among the participating teams, the 50-Ball Cricket Association of Mumbai Division delivered an impressive performance. The Mumbai squad, comprising 15 talented young players, demonstrated exceptional skill, discipline, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.

The success of the Mumbai team was made possible due to the strong leadership and guidance of the Mumbai 50-Ball Cricket Association:
- Mr. Chandrasekhar Pathare, Chairman of the Association, conveyed his heartfelt congratulations and consistently motivated the players.
- Mrs. Pathare, head of the Women’s Division, actively supported and encouraged the participation of girls from the Mumbai zone.
- Mr. Sharad Wable sir, another core head of the division, inspired the athletes with his presence and encouragement.
- Mr. Ramsharan Sharma, Division Head and General Secretary, played a vital role in overseeing the selection process and remained present throughout the training phases.
- Mr. Om Prakash Yadav, Treasurer of the Association, also extended his appreciation to the players and support staff.
The team’s performance received special appreciation from Mr. Yogesh Choudhury, President of the Maharashtra State 50-Ball Cricket Association, who congratulated the players and coaching staff. Mr. Vijay Tepugade, Secretary General of Maharashtra, also commended the team’s spirit and commitment.
A dedicated physiotherapy team from Maharashtra was also present throughout the event to support player recovery and physical health. Special acknowledgment goes to Dr. Tejashri Pathade and Dr. Lav Amrutkar, who ensured professional care and injury prevention during the tournament, playing a crucial role in the athletes’ overall performance and well-being.
Selection Process for Mumbai Team:
- Phase 1: Conducted at Chembur Education Society, this round was led by Mr. Sharad Wablesar, Mr. Ramsharan Sharma (Ram Sir), and Mr. Om Prakash Yadav. The selection was closely observed by Mr. Limbkar Sir, who ensured transparency and fairness in the process.
- Phase 2: Held on 21st May 2025 at Seven Star Cricket Academy, Alibaug–Pen, under the guidance of Mr. Praveen Sir.
- Phase 3: Conducted in Thane, led by Mr. Vaibhav Sir.
The 3rd 50-Balls Cricket Youth National Championship 2025 served as a powerful platform to promote grassroots cricket and build momentum for this exciting new format. The unity, preparation, and passion shown by all stakeholders reflect the growing strength and bright future of 50-Ball Cricket in India.
