Dadar Hanuman Temple Protected

Mumbai, 14th December: MLA Mangal Prabhat Lodha today visited the Hanuman Temple near Platform No. 12 at Dadar East, adjacent to the Central Railway station. During the visit, he interacted with the temple trustees and participated in the Aarti. MLA Kalidas Kolambkar, Bajrang Dal, and Vishwa Hindu Parishad workers were also present on the occasion. MLA Lodha assured that the temple would not be demolished, stating that he had personally spoken to Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, and he has received an order to halt the demolition.

Mangal Prabhat Lodha, along with MLA Ashish Shelar, met with Central Railway officials and requested Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to suspend the demolition action. As a result, the action has been put on hold.

Speaking to the media, Lodha said, “The government at both the Centre and in Maharashtra listens to the concerns of Hindutva and the people. We understand the sentiments of the Hindu community regarding this temple, and I assure you that no harm will come to this sacred place. Since we became aware of the situation, BJP leaders, Bajrang Dal, and Vishwa Hindu Parishad workers have all been in contact with Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. We have made every effort to protect the temple and will continue to do so in the future. Any attempt to politicize religious sentiments has been thwarted before it could succeed, and we have successfully saved the temple.”

Central Railway’s Assistant Divisional Engineer of the Mumbai Division had issued a 7-day notice for the unauthorized temple located behind the RPF office on Platform No. 12 at Dadar East, through Office Memo No. BB/W/ADEN/BY/Encroachment/notice dated 04.12.2024. However, the decision has been made to suspend the implementation of the notice.
