Governor launches Flag Fund Collection Drive for Divyang welfare

      Mumbai, 7th Oct : The Governor of Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshyari launched the Flag Day Fund Collection Drive for the welfare of Visually Impaired Divyangs at Raj Bhavan Mumbai on Friday (7 Oct).

            The Flag Day programme was organised by the Maharashtra Chapter of the National Association for the Blind, an organisation working for the education, training and rehabilitation of the visually impaired Divyang persons and children.

            Applauding the good work done by NAB Maharashtra, the Governor assured that he will take up all pending issues of NAB with the government.

            President of NAB Maharashtra Rameshwar Kalantri briefed the Governor about the various problems faced by NAB for the education of visually impaired girls and the training of persons with multiple disabilities.

            Honorary General Secretary of NAB Gopi Mayur, treasurer CA Vinod Jaju, Joint Secretary and Divyang entrepreneur Bhavesh Bhatia, Mukteshwar Munshettiwar, Mangala Kalantri and others were present.
