The Opening ceremony was on 26 December at 11:30 am was graced by Chief Guest Sudhakar Adbale (MLC, Vidarbha), who was warmly welcomed by Arti Limje, General Secretary of the Para Goalball Sports Association and Maharashtra Women’s Coach.
The participation of 17th states. A total of 10 men’s teams and 7 women’s teams competed, representing states such as Maharashtra, Delhi, Haryana, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar.
Event Highlights :
27th December: Matches were conducted from 8:00 AM to 10:30 PM, with a total of 33 matches played.
28th December:
Women’s Semi-Finals: Teams from Delhi, Haryana, Gujarat, and Maharashtra advanced. The finals featured Maharashtra and Haryana, with Maharashtra securing victory with 9 goals against Haryana’s 6 goals.

During the ceremony, GFI officials and referees were felicitated, including Neha Pawaskar, Swaraj Singh, Kamalkant (Official Score Recorder) and his assistant Kirti, Ekta, and Sakshi (Officials, Timekeepers), and Physiotherapist Dr.Ravindersingh Rukwal. Referees Vipin, Sumeet, Pulkit, and Bhupendar also Special recognition was given to Krritin Rukwal for his meticulous efforts in listing the top players with the highest scores, alongside his contributions in acknowledging the performances of other notable athletes during the championship. Additionally, Abhijit Dhobe, a dedicated volunteer, was sincerely appreciated for his invaluable support in helping to ease the workload and ensure the smooth execution of the event in every possible way.

The event was witnessed by IBSA observers Rishikant Sharma, Arjun Awardee R.K. Singh. A motivational speech was delivered by Rajesh Singh, the first visually challenged IAS officer (2012 batch) and current DM of Jharkhand. The program was expertly anchored by Mr. Ananta Gyanam.
